What is Clawfoot Tub Casting?

Clawfoot tub casting is the latest and greatest development in bathtub refurbishment!

Much like traditional spray refinishing it has a 24 hour cure time, but it is durable like a liner.  This unique synthetic porcelain resin is poured over the tub surface which not only provides excellent adhesion for this permanent coating but is about five times thicker than traditional spray refinishing.  Making this the most durable bathtub solution on the market, and it is backed with a 5 year warranty.  Although proper care of the new surface can help it last over 25 years!

How does casting on a clawfoot tub work?

We are the leaders in offering this service, which involves applying a coating that is five times thicker than traditional resurfacing services and features a surface that can last for decades rather than just a few years. For this reason, we no longer offer traditional clawfoot tub resurfacing.

The surface preparation process for bathtub casting and traditional spray refinishing is the same, but the application of the coatings are completely different.  Our PureCoat tub casting coating is a specially designed synthetic porcelain resin that permanently bonds to the original tub, which means it won’t peel, chip, or flake like traditionally sprayed-on coatings.  No only is our tub casting service guaranteed to stand the test of time but the pour-on application allows for no airborne particles and an odorless process.  It simply requires a 24-hr cure time and you have a beautiful clawfoot tub surface that looks and feels like new.

    Our PureCoat Tub Casting service boats a coating that is 5x thicker than traditionally sprayed-on coatings.  Traditional resurfacing, without fail, contains solvent which evaporate during the curing process in order to harden the coating.  In fact, roughly 50% of the material that is sprayed onto a surface will evaporate during the curing period depending on the refinishers’ material ratios.  But our state-of-the-art PureCoat coating used during our casting service is categorized as 100% solids and contain no solvents; meaning, what is applied to the tub stays on the tub.  No more paying for coatings that disappear into thin air!
